应选择与基督同一的神贫、轻视世物及笨拙的名声,
而非选择财富、荣誉及学问的声誉,
尽管二者只给予天主同样而非更大的光荣,但选择前者更能紧随基督。
Even though they gave only equal, and not greater, glory to God, yet poverty, contempt, and a reputation for foolishness should be chosen with Christ rather than wealth, honor, and the repute of learning, since by choosing the former we more closely follow him.
